Three Things You Need to Know on June 7th

Despite progress in negotiations, the White House says President Trump is still planning to impose tariffs on Mexico on Monday.  Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said negotiations have gone well, but noted that Trump's position has not changed.  He is pushing Mexico to take big steps to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. 

The mayor of Boston says the city can't stop a "Straight Pride Parade" this summer just because people disagree with it.  In a series of tweets Thursday, Mayor Marty Walsh said the City of Boston cannot deny a permit based on an organization's values. He also noted that and that permits to host a public event are granted based  on "operational feasibility."  Walsh said the organizers of the StraightPride Parade don't have a permit yet, but are "working to amend their application."  Walsh then promoted Saturday's Boston Pride Parade.  

Weather conditions may not be ideal for the Garth Brooks concert on Saturday.  Over 80-thousand people are expected to attend the show at Broncos Stadium.  A storm in the Pacific Northwest could have an impact on Denver, bringing the potential for showers and thunderstorms.  A cold front is expected to bring cooler temperatures and gusty winds on Saturday.
