Three Things You Need to Know on December 7th

The office of Special Counsel Robert Mueller will reveal new details in the Russia probe later today.  It's the deadline for Mueller's office to explain to the court why it accused President Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, of lying to investigators and breaking his cooperation deal.  The special counsel also has to provide memos to recommend a sentence for former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.  

A bill is on the President's desk that will keep the government running for two more weeks.  A two-week government funding extension was passed by the Senate and House yesterday, averting a possible government shutdown.  The federal government is set to run out of money at midnight Friday.   

Kevin Hart is bowing out as the host of next year's Oscars after criticism over previous remarks he made about gay people.  The comedian announced his decision on Twitter last night and apologized to the LGBTQ community.  The Oscars are on February 24th.
