Hurricane Dorian is threatening millions of people in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. More than two-million people have been warned to evacuate. The storm with 105 mile-an-hour sustained winds began lashing the Florida coast Tuesday evening. The National Hurricane Center expects Dorian to move up the coast over the next few days. Around 800 flights have been cancelled for today and that number is expected to rise.

Walmart is getting out of handgun sales.  The retail giant also will stop selling handgun ammunition and so-called short barrel rifle ammunition that can be used in assault-style rifles.  Walmart announced Tuesday that it will stop selling handguns in Alaska, which is the only place it still sells them.

The University of Colorado-Boulder is taking steps to reduce plastic use at Folsom Field.  The school has partnered with Ball Corporation to introduce a recyclable aluminum cup for drinks at the stadium.  It will debut at the Buffaloes' home opener against Nebraska on Saturday. CU's goal is to become plastic-free at its sports venues by 2020.
