Three Things You Need to Know on October 8th

The climate may be changing more rapidly than previously thought. A new report says temperatures will likely rise by one-point-five degrees Celsius between 2030 and 2052 if global warming proceeds at its current rate.  The report released by the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says countries must take unprecedented steps to prevent global warming from worsening. 

The weather is as unpredectable as always here in Denver. The city had its earliest snowfall in six years.  The National Weather Service recorded a half-inch at DIA early Saturday.  The average first snowfall for the city is October 18th.  Denver could also have its first hard freeze of the season this week.  Temperatures early Wednesday morning could fall into the upper 20s. 

Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as a Supreme Court justice after a contentious confirmation battle. President Trump says there will be another swearing-in ceremony this evening. After that, Kavanaugh's first cases on the court begin this week.
