Three Things You Need to Know on October 22nd

President Trump is confirming that the U.S. will pull out of a three-decade old arms control treaty with Russia. The Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces treaty was signed by President Reagan and Russia's Mikhail Gorbachev back in 1987. Gorbachev is now warning President Trump that pulling out of the agreement could have unforeseen consequences.  

According to the New York Times, the Department of Health and Human Services is mounting an effort to legally define a person's gender as either male or female as determined by their genitals at birth.  Under that plan, the sex listed on a person's birth certificate would be definitive proof of their gender. 

Midterms are just a few weeks away. Colorado counties will start opening up voter service and polling centers today.  That's ahead of the November election.  People will be able to register in person, vote and get help with any issues with their ballots.  Voters can also drop off ballots at those locations.  To find one near you, log on to JustVoteColorado.org
