Property owners in the Denver area are checking their homes and cars for hail damage this morning.  A strong thunderstorm rolled through the area early this morning, dropping hail of various sizes on roads, roofs and uncovered cars.  Hail was reported in Denver, Broomfield and Superior, with traffic cameras showing pictures of hail-covered roadways around the area.  Snow was also reported in the mountains and chain and traction laws were in effect in several places.

An attorney from Colorado is the latest person to die on the descent from the summit Mount Everest.  Sixty-two-year-old Christopher Kulish, of Boulder, scaled the peak yesterday, but died at the camp on the southwest ridge shortly afterward.  Kulish is the 11th person to die on Everest this year, and the second American to die after a Utah man died last week.  Most of the deaths have been attributed to exhaustion and fatigue.
