At least two state officials are calling for boycotts of Alabama over their new abortion law. Maryland's comptroller said Thursday he'll advise the state's 52-billion dollar pension fund to pull from Alabama companies. Colorado's secretary of state Jena Griswold wants the National Association of Election Officials to move its training out of Alabama. Griswold calls the abortion law egregious against women.

President Trump has outlined his new immigration reform plan. The plan aims to move the U.S. toward a merit-based immigration system, giving a preference to highly skilled and educated migrants.  The White House has said the plan does not address Dreamers, the millions of young men and women who were brought into the U.S. illegally as children.  The plan also contains no path to citizenship for immigrants who are living in the U.S.

Aspen Skiing Company will open 130 acres on Aspen Mountain for skiing and snowboarding on Memorial Day weekend.  The resort announced yesterday that the Silver Queen Gondola will operate from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend.
