Funding for school safety will be on the agenda today for the Douglas County Board of Commissioners.  Members will be considering an additional ten-million-dollars to protect students at public schools.  The move comes after the recent shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch that killed one student and wounded eight others.  The board of commissioners has a special work session set for this afternoon in Castle Rock.

The two teens accused in the shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch are expected in court on Wednesday.  Formal charges had been initially scheduled for Friday, but the hearing was postponed.  Eighteen-year-old Devon Erickson and an underage teen are being held without bond.  They were booked on murder and attempted murder charges in connection with the shooting.

The season is over for the Denver Nuggets after a loss Sunday in game seven.  The Nuggets fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 100-to-96 in the seventh and decisive game.
