Three Things You Need to Know on June 20th

Tensions are ramping up today after a commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said Iran is "completely ready for war" with the U.S. He made that comment after Iran shot down an unarmed U.S. Navy drone in what American officials say was international airspace. Iran claims the drone was in Iranian airspace on a spying mission. 

The Jefferson County School District says a survey on possibly closing Columbine High School and replacing it with another school has drawn thousands of responses.  Nearly seven-thousand people responded to the survey before it closed on June 14th.  The district is still going over the surveys and the earliest a report will be released is the middle of next month.  The results could prompt more discussion about demolishing the school.

The U.S. Women's National Team is back in action today against a familiar opponent.  The Americans will play Sweden at 1:00 MT in their final match of the group stage at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.  The Americans have already advanced to the knockout stage of the tournament with convincing wins against Thailand and Chile.
