Three Things You Need to Know on July 2nd

NASA is testing a new effort to put astronauts back on the moon, 50 years after the first moon landing. The space agency this morning tested the launch abort system for the Orion spacecraft. The uncrewed, three-minute test flight didn't leave the Earth's atmosphere. 

Temporary restrictions are being put into place for Clear Creek due to fast-running conditions.  The announcement came yesterday from Golden Police and the Jefferson County Sheriff's office.  The restrictions mean no swimming or tubing.  Kayaks, whitewater canoes and other equipment will be allowed.  The restrictions apply to the waterway in Golden and unincorporated parts of the county. 

The United States will take on third-ranked England in the semifinals of the Women's World Cup Tuesday in Lyon, France. The winner will advance to the final to face the either Sweden, or the Netherlands, who meet in the other semifinal match on Wednesday.
