Three Things You Need to Know on July 29th

Four people are confirmed dead, including a suspect, in Northern California following a shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. At least 15 people were also injured. The shooting started yesterday around 5:40 p.m. Officers engaged and killed the shooter in less than a minute. Police continue to search for a second suspect involved.  Currently, the shooting appears to be a random act of violence.  

Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats is stepping down next month.  President Trump announced that Coats' last day will be on August 15th.  The President says he's selecting Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe to fill the position.  

The Broncos will kick off preseason play this week.  The team will take on Atlanta in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday in Canton, Ohio.  Late Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and former cornerback Champ Bailey will be enshrined into the hall on Saturday.  Kickoff for Thursday's game is 6 p.m. Mountain Time.
