Some scary moments at a Walmart in Missouri. Police say a man armed with a rifle and wearing body armor walked into the store in Springfield yesterday. The Walmart was evacuated and he was held at gunpoint by an off-duty firefighter until police arrived. No shots were fired but authorities say he had more than 100 rounds of ammunition.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock is pushing for gun reform legislation in the U.S.  He sent a letter to Colorado's congressional delegation following last weekend's mass shootings in Ohio and Texas.  Hancock says the time is now to enact common sense reforms which will help eliminate gun violence.  He's calling for expanded background checks, a reauthorization of the federal assault weapons ban and a ban on high capacity magazines.  Hancock also wants a federal red flag law.  He says "enough is enough."

Denver-based Frontier Airlines is offering free flights if you're green -- literally.  The promotion is for anyone with the last name of Green, but there is a catch.  It's only for one day.  If you fly on Tuesday, August 13th, you'll get a full refund up to 400-dollars.  Simply show proof that your last name is Green.  It's part of Frontier's 'Green Week' focusing on fuel efficiency and sustainability.
