Three Things You Need to Know on August 2nd

China says it doesn't want a trade war with the U.S. but is not afraid of fighting one. That's part of Beijing's foreign ministry response to President Trump's threat to impose a ten-percent tariff on another $300-billion worth of Chinese imports starting September 1st. Trump made the threat in a series of tweets Thursday and China fired back this morning. 

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering free entrance to all state parks for the month of August for veterans and active members of the military.  It's part of a program to honor those who serve or have served our country.  Proper ID must be presented.  The offer includes all 41 state parks across Colorado. 

Late Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and former cornerback Champ Bailey will become part of history this weekend.  They'll be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame tomorrow in Canton, Ohio. The ceremony will be broadcast on ESPN and the NFL Network.
