August 22, 2018

Yesterday was a big day for two former associates of President Trump. Michael Cohen pled guilty in New York yesterday to charges of fraud and tax evasion. Cohen testified in court that a "candidate" directed him to pay off two women for the purpose of influencing the 2016 election. Court documents indicate that the "candidate" was Donald Trump. The same day, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort was convicted of eight felony charges by a jury in Virginia.

Police are searching for four suspects who shot and wounded a Cherry Hills Village police officer during a home invasion.  Officer Cory Sack was shot in the leg and ankle when he confronted the suspects in the home on Sedgwick Drive Monday night.  Police say Officer Sack had to undergo surgery for his injuries, but is expected to recover.

Google Assistant has a new feature that lets users just read the good news.  Users just have to ask the assistant to "tell me something good" and they'll get a list of more positive stories about what Google says are people working to solve problems in the world.  Sounds pretty great!
