Three Things You Need to Know on August 20th

One of the first women to accuse movie executive Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault is facing her own sexual assault accuser.  The New York Times says Italian actress and director Asia Argento agreed in October to pay 380-thousand dollars to actor Jimmy Bennett.  Bennett claimed Argento assaulted him in a hotel room when he was 17 years old and she was 37.   

Aretha Franklin passed away on Thursday, and a memorial continues to grow outside Detroit's New Bethel Baptist Church where the Queen of Soul worshiped.  Inside the church where her father, Reverend C.L. Franklin, preached, a special dedication to the iconic singer was held during the Sunday service.  Franklin died of pancreatic cancer at age 76. 

Denver Public Schools students will be getting back to the classroom today.  That means some extra patrols in school zones this morning by Denver Police.  The first day of classes will bring extra bicycle and pedestrian traffic, including small kids around places like bus stops and areas surrounding schools.  Drivers are warned to take it slow and keep an eye out for students.
