Three Things You Need to Know on August 15th

Several states help primary elections yesterday. Historic results came out of Vermont where Christine Hallquist became the first transgender governor nominee of a major political party. Hallquist will run on the Democratic ticket and is set to face Republican Governor Phil Scott in the November general election. 

Wildlife officials in Boulder are trying to track down one, or more mountain lions that have recently been spotted in the area. That includes the one that broke into a home last week. There's also been increased mountain lion activity in Boulder recently.

The "Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin, is reportedly in poor health.  Friends and family and visiting the star in hospice care, and posting tributes.  Franklin has won 18 Grammy Awards and sold more than 75 million records worldwide.
