Virginia Cavaliers pulled off an overtime victory against Texas Tech to clinch the NCAA men's basketball championship for the first time in school history. When all was said and done the score was 85-77 and Virginia had clearly been redeemed after becoming the first number 1 seed to lose to a number 16 seed in 2018. 

Actress Felicity Huffman is one of more than a dozen who are agreeing to plead guilty in the college admissions fraud scandal case.  Huffman, 12 other parents and a former college coach all will be pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.  Huffman is facing charges after allegedly paying 15-thousand-dollars to participate in a college entrance exam cheating scheme for her oldest daughter. 

City employees in Denver are about to get a bump in pay.  The city council approved an ordinance last night that will boost the minimum wage for city employees to 15-dollars an hour by July 2021.  The pay rate will increase to 13-dollars an hour this July and increase by a dollar next year and again in 2021.  Businesses that operate in city facilities would also be affected by the change.
