Three Things You Need to Know on April 18th

The Mueller report will be released this morning. Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team spent 22 months investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Attorney General William Barr has said parts of the roughly 400 page report will be redacted to protect confidential and sensitive material.

Schools around metro Denver are open this morning following recent threats. Classes were canceled yesterday around most of the region. That move was made after investigators were tipped off about a woman who had traveled to the Denver area from Florida and had purchased a shotgun and ammunition. Suspect Sol Pais was found dead near the base of Mount Evans yesterday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  There will be heightened security today at Jefferson County Public Schools following recent threats. 

The Colorado Avalanche are one win away from advancing to the second round of the NHL playoffs. The Avs beat the Calgary Flames 3-2 in overtime last night in Denver.  The win gives Colorado a 3-1 series lead heading into game five tomorrow in Calgary. If necessary, game six will be played in Denver on Sunday.
