Friday

BJ & Jamie’s Bar Bingo
free
Bingo is fun, but when a trip to Chicago to see Maroon 5 is a prize, Bingo gets serious! Registration for this event is closed, but it’s worth showing up to try and claim a last-minute spot. Games get started around 6, but it doesn’t hurt to show up early, especially if you’re trying to snag a good seat!

Colfax Art Crawl and Street Party
free
It’s First Friday! That means galleries and art districts around the city will be poppin’, mostly because they all have free admission! The 40 West Art DIstrict in Lakewood is making this First Friday extra special by throwing a New Orleans inspired street party, complete with roaming musicians, (family friendly) beads, face painting, and Cajun food trucks. It’s one of the first nice nights we’ve had in awhile, celebrate in the streets!

Saturday

US Air Guitar Championships
$15 to compete, free to watch
Anyone with an imagination knows you don't need strings to shred a killer guitar riff. You don't even really need to know how to play guitar! Take your air guitar skills out of the house, and share your talents with the city! They could win you a trip to the national finals in NYC! This airy competition goes down at 3 Kings Tavern on South Broadway.
More info here.

OPRAH!
$39-$250
The forever queen of daytime TV is speaking the the Pepsi Center. While there probably won’t be an amazing surprise under every seat, and I don’t think she’ll be giving the entire audience a new car, it’ll still be an inspirational evening with a woman who has changed the world.
You get a ticket, and you get a ticket!

Dan Soder at Comedy Works
$25
Colorado’s own Dan Soder is back in the 303 for the weekend (yes, this event happens Friday & Saturday). He’s been busy touring and filming stuff for Netflix or whatever, but head downtown to show him there’s no place like home!
Tickets right here.

DIY Glassblowing
$90
We’ve all seen those awesome videos of people blowing through long metal tubes to create amazing figures out of glass. Did you know regular people can DO that? Neither did we, it seems way too crazy for the average person, but it’s totally doable! In this class at Flux Studio in City Park North, you’ll make your own drinking glass, just in time for St. Patrick’s day. See, you need it.
Get blown here.

Onward Family Party at Alamo Drafthouse
$13
Pixar's newest family film, Onward, is the story of two brothers on a search to find magic in the world. You can find magic with the whole family at an Alamo Family Party. THere are games and activities for kids to do before the movie, and plenty of food and drink specials to keep parents happy. You can join in on a party at either the Littleton or Westminster location.

National Cereal Day
cost of cereal
The ultimate breakfast food gets it’s very own day! And where better to celebrate than the Cereal Box in Old Town Arvada? This place specializes in cereal 24/7, but on Saturday they will have giveaways for kids and adults, plus all the cereal you can handle!

Sunday

International Women’s Day
varies
Celebrate and support women worldwide this Sunday. There are plenty of events going on around Denver, including Girls Rock at the Hard Rock Cafe, an empowering, sexy Sunday at the Block Distilling Co. in RiNo, or celebrate with a stroll down Tennyson!

Power Vinyasa at Oasis Brewing
$12
Sun salutations are so much more effective when chased with a locally brewed beer, in our opinion. Twist, sweat, pose and then raise a glass with a class focused on strength and mobility, and relaxing beers after.
