A tentative bipartisan deal to avert another partial government shutdown has been created. One-quarter of the federal government runs out of money again at the end of the week, and if President Trump doesn't sign the deal, we may be facing another shutdown. The House and Senate are expected to pass the deal. 

Accused Mexican drug lord Joaquin El Chapo Guzman guilty on all counts in his drug conspiracy and money laundering trial.  The jury in Brooklyn federal court returned guilty verdicts on all ten charges yesterday.  The 61-year-old Guzman will be sentenced on June 25th. 

Teachers in Denver are on strike for a third day after the latest talks with the school district ended without a deal.  Fifty-eight percent of teachers didn't report to work yesterday, slightly more than Monday when the strike started.  Negotiators for the teachers union and Denver Public Schools are scheduled to talk again today.
