8 Things to Do in Denver This Weekend, That Don't Totally Suck

May 17, 2019

Game of Thrones Trivia

We are totally obsessed with GoT over here at The Mountain (our station, not Gregor Clegane). If you aspire to be a faceless man, a man of the Night's Watch, or even Ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, you can flex your knowledge of all things Westeros at Stoney's Bar and Grill on Friday. The battle begins at 6:45, but get there early to register your team and create your house words!

ROLL at Tracks Denver

If your backpack was adroned with dolphins swimming under a rainbow and the folders inside featured spotted seals, puppies and psychadelic leopards, do I have an event for you! ROLL at the Exdo Event Center is hosting their monthly skating party, and the theme is... drumroll... LISA FRANK! Rainbows and unicorns as far as the eye can see! Skates and a sippy cup are inclided with the price of admission.

Denver Fitness Week's bRUNch Running at Origin Hotel

Denver has an entire week dedicated to our kick-ass fitness scene. If you haven't had to chance to check out any of the 16 participating studios, you can at least get a run, and brunch in before the week is over! Tickets include a 5k fun-run, and a brunch cocktail, that you've more than earned! If you book through Denver Fitness Week, you may also get a discount (wink wink)

Five Points Jazz Festival

Dozens of incredible local bands will play on multiple stages throughout the day in one of Denver's most vibrant neighborhoods. Things kick off at 11am and go all day!

Wilderness Exchange 13th Annual Gear Swap

Most Coloradans have a LOT of outdoor gear. Several closets and a garage worth, if you're like me. If you're looking to get rid of some gear you don't use any more, but feel like it could still be useful to someone, Wilderness Exhange's annual Gear Swap may be the place to go. They are basically hosting a giant garage sale in their parking lot off Platte and 15th. They will also have some killer deals in the store, so bring cash and get ready to swap!

South Pearl St Farmer's Market Opening Day

More and more of our favorite Farmer's Markets are setting up their tents and selling the best locally grown produce! The market kicks off their 18th season at 9am on Sunday.

Platte River Cleanup

Join Patagonia for an hour of hard work, that benefits the whole community! Don't worry, you'll be rewarded with brunch at the Patagonia store afterwards. It all gets started at 10am at Confluence Park.
