5 Things to Do in Denver This Weekend, That Don't Totally Suck

June 7, 2019

While thousands of people are gathering at the stadium, you can hit the town and have some fun, without the crowd!

Slacker and Steve are back with the best free show of the summer. This year, instead of hunkering down in the city, shows will be at several different LoDo’s locations! They’re heading down south to Highlands Ranch for the first show with Maddie Poppe and Lewis Capaldi. Oh, and there will be a zillion chanced to win concert tickets. Basically, it’s the best way to start the weekend.

Denver Brunch Crawl

Saturdays are for brunching, and why commit yourself to just one mimosa stop? Starting at Noon at Brothers, some of LoDo’s biggest brunch spots will be offering up brunch specials and and gallons of bubbly. You may need Sunday to recover.

Get tickets here (prices go up at the door).

The City of Thornton is hosting a huge outdoor festival at Carpenter Park Fields from 10am-5pm on Saturday. This family-friendly event features live music, food and drinks, and a Ninja Warrior course!

Colorado Rockies Home Run 5k

5ks aren’t always the most exciting thing, but this one includes a lap around Coors Field and tickets to a Rockies game! If that’s not exciting, well, I guess we have different definitions of the word.

Old School Cool Vintage Market

Improper City in RiNo is hosting a totally free, and totally awesome vintage market. More than 35 local vintage shops will be gathered together, displaying their cool duds and doo-dads. Drinks and coffee will be available, and three food trucks will be on site. It’s the best way to shop!
