Starbucks Launches Pink Guava Passionfruit Drink for Summer

May 27, 2020

Starbucks is welcoming the warmer weather by releasing new summer drinks and food on its menu.

The coffee company is adding a new pink drink called the Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink, reported People.

It is mixed with coconut milk and features a concoction of pineapple, guava, passion, and ginger flavors.

While introducing new beverages, Starbucks also revealed more menu additions, including the Grilled Chicken & Hummus Protein Box and a Unicorn Cake Pop.

Starbucks is also re-releasing the S'mores Frappuccino, which was brought back by popular demand for a limited time.

If you love campfires, the beverage is filled with layers of milk chocolate sauce, marshmallow-infused whipped cream and graham cracker crumbles.

The new items come as the coffee giant has begun to slowly reopen stores across the country, yet continuing to maintain safety protocols. Using the Starbucks App, customers can locate a store, order, and pay ahead for their favorite menu items for smooth contactless payment. In addition, the company now offers contactless delivery to your home.

Since stores closed across the country due to coronavirus, Starbucks has also continued rolling out new products. Last week, the company announced it would be selling color-changing cups. The new item is a reusable Confetti Cold cup that changes colors when a cold drink is poured inside.

At the beginning of May, Starbucks announced they would have 85% of their stores up and running by the end of the first week of May, but with modified operations in place.

The coffee chain is urging everyone to place mobile orders that can be picked up at the drive-thru or via new “entry-way handoffs.” Employees have set up areas in the store to distribute the orders, so customers don’t have to enter the locations themselves.

Depending on state protocols, cafes that will allow customers to place an order inside with a barista will have all seating removed and have social distancing markers placed on the floor.

Starbucks also started providing outlets with face coverings and gloves, and all employees now have their temperature checked before the start of their shift.
