'We can’t wait to share this amazing night and performance with the Skynyrd Nation'

As Lynyrd Skynyrd winds down their rock and roll hall of fame career, one of their final shows has been preserved for posterity.

The Southern rock legends have announced the concert film Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour will be coming to theaters for one night only on November 7th. The project was built on band interviews and footage from Lynyrd Skynyrd’s 2018 hometown concert a TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, FL.

“We can’t wait to share this amazing night and performance with the Skynyrd Nation, especially those that weren’t able to be there that evening,” guitarist Gary Rossington said. “The energy, passion and reaction to the music and band was something we will never forget.”

The show was originally billed as the final stop on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s farewell tour, but they have since extended it into until October 19th in Wheatland, CA.

The final scheduled gig was one of two that originally had to be postponed so Rossington could recover from heart surgery. He is the lone original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd still on tour.
